I have exPressit version 4.3.0206 running on a Dell PC with Windows 11. I have a printer on my home network in my den upstairs. I work in the basement. I can print to it in color from MS Word with no problems. When I try to print from exPressit, I get a status bar with green a little ways into the bar, but then the program just ends. I just don't mean the print aspect. The program is no longer running. It's gone. It just completely fails. No print files, no error messages. Nothing. The program just goes away.
I also have a Windows XP with exPressit version 4.3.0202 in the basement. I can print a label to the same printer from there, but it prints with no color. I don't care which one I can get working, but I would like to get one of them to work. Any help would be much appreciated.
The program won't print with user backgrounds and when using expressit backgrounds, the program shuts down. With a blank template on CD front showing on screen, it prints just the front, when on CD template back page showing on screen, it prints both front and back.
Installed on Windows 10.... works great.... took a few minutes to figure out how to print CD labels and multipurpose label... which is the rectangular label on the sheet [vertical not horizontal] thus the confusion factor.
I did a work around... Scan a blank sheet, open in photoshop and voila you have your own template!. Peel off the cd and address labels and outline openings with sharpie so you have a nice outline of the areas you're going to fill in. Don't forget the center! Made a bunch of QR codes and it printed great!
Designs okay, but, won't print on my Win 10 box! No error message! Never gets to printer queue! I tried to set it to Windows 7 compatability, but, it didn't help. Removed it from my machine. :,(
I LOVE this software for making CD Cover booklets and spines, and the outline frames to fit you covers perfectly! Been using it since its first release many moons ago. And it WILL work for Windows 10. When I first installed I had to install as Administrator (which I already am but had to or it wouldn't install). Make sure on the install file right click on properties and on Compatibility tab select for "Windows 7" or it won't install. You get an error saying something regarding system32, so you'll need to use Windows 7 Compatibility mode and you SHOULDN'T have any issue installing to Windows 10. That's not a guarantee either because not everyone's computer is the same. So good luck in downloading this and hope it works for you. God bless and have a super awesome day, I am! Covid-19 safe here as of 14 June 2020.
